This album is a record of Northern Harmony's two month tour through the UK in spring 2004. We were 16 singers, eight men and eight women, some of whom doubled as a particularly lively band featuring clarinet, soprano sax, trombone and rhythm section. Vocally we had a well-balanced group, with the particular luxury of five tenors! Most of the recordings were made at one afternoon recording session and a live concert in the beautiful, intimate Chapel Royal in Brighton, with a few live tracks recorded live in Crawley and Castle Acre, Norfolk. The live tracks include occasional audience and neighborhood noise; the Brighton audience included a particularly appreciative baby who can be heard on several tracks.
